About Tenura
Retirement Information Should Be Simple to Find
We set up Tenura because too many people in Thailand reach retirement age without a clear picture of where they stand — not through any fault of their own, but because the information was never made easy to reach.
Back to HomeOur Story
Tenura was founded in Bangkok in 2019 by a small group of people who had spent years watching friends, colleagues, and family members reach their fifties without a working understanding of their own pension entitlements. The Social Security Fund, provident fund statements, overseas pension transfers, government employee schemes — each category came with its own language and its own set of documents. Putting them together felt out of reach for most people.
The founders were not financial advisers and had no interest in becoming them. What they wanted to build was something more focused: a place where a person could sit down, hear the key terms explained in plain language, understand what documents they needed to have in order, and leave feeling clearer than when they arrived. No advice, no product, no pressure — just information.
That original idea has stayed at the centre of everything Tenura does. The services have evolved and the team has grown, but the purpose remains the same: make retirement information accessible, understandable, and genuinely useful for people in Thailand.
Our Mission
To give every person in Thailand a fair chance to understand their retirement position — through clear information, practical organisation support, and materials that speak plainly to real situations.
Clarity Over Complexity
Every document, workshop, and toolkit we produce is reviewed for plain language. If something can be said more simply, it should be.
Respect for the Individual
People come to Tenura at different stages and with different backgrounds. We meet them where they are, without assumptions or judgement.
Information Only
We are not financial advisers and never act as such. Our role is to explain, organise, and point people toward the right official resources.

How We Work
The standards we hold ourselves to — so that every interaction with Tenura is consistent, careful, and worth your time.
Plain Language Review
All written materials go through a plain language review before use. Technical terms are defined clearly and nothing is assumed.
Data Privacy
Client information is handled with care and in line with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act. We collect only what is needed to deliver each service.
No Advisory Boundary
All staff are trained to recognise the boundary between information and advice. If a question requires professional advice, we say so clearly and direct accordingly.
Regular Content Updates
Pension rules and official sources change. We review and update all materials at least twice a year to ensure information remains accurate and current.
Client Feedback Loop
Every workshop and package includes a short feedback form. We use responses to improve materials and identify topics that need clearer coverage.
Registered in Thailand
Tenura is a registered Thai company, operating from our office in Sathon, Bangkok. We are accountable to Thai law and transparent about how we operate.
Retirement Readiness in Thailand — What It Actually Takes
Thailand's retirement landscape draws on several distinct systems. The Social Security Fund covers most private-sector employees, while civil servants fall under the Government Pension Fund. Provident fund contributions managed through employers form a third layer, and many residents also hold foreign pension entitlements from previous employment abroad. Each system has different rules about contribution periods, payout ages, and withdrawal conditions.
Navigating across all of these requires a foundation of reliable information. Yet most people only start looking for that information when retirement feels imminent — often too late to take full advantage of what is available, and sometimes after documents have been lost or entitlements lapsed through administrative gaps.
Tenura exists to shift that starting point earlier. By offering a structured workshop that explains the core terms and points people to the right official sources, and a records organisation service that brings personal documents into a coherent system, we give individuals a meaningful head start. For employers, the toolkit means that staff get this foundation as a normal part of workplace support — not something they have to seek out alone.
Everything Tenura provides is strictly educational. We do not recommend products, funds, or specific financial choices. Our role is to ensure that when people do speak to a financial adviser or approach an official body, they arrive informed and prepared.
